Spotify Copycat Suits Could Face Long Odds In US Courts

Law360, New York (September 6, 2013, 7:41 PM ET) -- Streaming music service Spotify was hit with a lawsuit in the U.K. this week for not removing user-generated copies of proprietary playlists, and while the case might be worth trying for the company behind the popular compilations, U.S. copyright experts say such claims would face uncertain odds on this side of the Atlantic.
