Chicago's Airport Privatization On Hold After Bidder Drops Out

Law360, New York (September 06, 2013, 4:22 PM ET) -- A long-awaited effort to privatize the smaller of Chicago's two airports has hit turbulence, with Mayor Rahm Emanuel putting the project on hold after one of two final bidders dropped out, the mayor's office confirmed Friday.

For years, Chicago has attempted to sell off operating rights at Midway Airport, but the project was shelved during the downturn.
