Judge Says No To Injunction Against Tessera

Law360, New York (February 13, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge refused on Tuesday to block Tessera Inc. from pursuing outside the California court system certain claims against customers of several semiconductor chip makers, finding that there was no reason to issue any type of restraining order.

Tessera is currently suing a group of semiconductor companies over four patents related to flash memory products. The patents at issue cover ball grid array format packages and multi-chip packages in which semiconductor chips are oriented in a face-up manner.
