Federal Contractor Group Calls For Bid Protest Reforms

Law360, New York (September 9, 2013, 6:02 PM EDT) -- A contractor trade group called on the federal government to rethink the way it handles bid protests, collaborates with contractors and trains acquisition staff in a report released Monday, arguing that the fiscal crisis has made weaknesses in the system too great to ignore.

The report by the Professional Services Council identifies persistent challenges the government faces in recruiting and holding on to acquisition staff, incentivizing innovation, and implementing acquisition strategies, based on conversations with government and industry leaders.
