Cox Faces Suit Over Video-On-Demand Patents

Law360, New York (February 14, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- An aggressive patent-holding firm has tied Cox Communications Inc. into a patent infringement lawsuit over on-demand viewing technology after roping Comcast Corp. and other top cable providers into similar suits.

VTran Media Technologies LLC filed the action on Feb. 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, alleging that Atlanta-based Cox’s video-on-demand services violated its two patents.
