Plans Must Cover Certified Therapist Autism Care: Calif. Court

Law360, New York (September 11, 2013, 1:37 PM ET) -- A new statute enacted by the California Legislature in 2011 requires that state health care regulators ensure health plans under their watch cover an autism treatment performed by certified therapists even if they don’t have medical or psychology licenses, a state appeals court ruled Tuesday.
