Deals Rumor Mill: EDF, Mitsubishi, Barry Diller

The unit boasts a 62,000-mile high-voltage network that clocks in as Europe's biggest, extending from northern France to the southern part of the country. State-owned EDF has sought to divest assets to generate funds to cover much-needed upgrades to its nuclear facilities and bite into its debt pile. Lazard Ltd. and Morgan Stanley are widely considered frontrunners in the process, based on previous ties to EDF management and roles in other EDF deals....
