Judge Blasts Porn Co. For Harassment, Intimidation In IP Suit

Law360, New York (September 12, 2013, 5:18 PM EDT) --  A Wisconsin federal judge ruled Tuesday that litigious porn company Malibu Media LLC used salaciously titled adult films that it didn't even own to “harass and intimidate” alleged downloaders into agreeing to early settlement payouts.

U.S. District Judge William M. Conley sanctioned Malibu in 11 different infringement actions against anonymous defendants for attaching an exhibit to each complaint filled with over-the-top porn names the user allegedly downloaded — none of which were copyrighted by Malibu.
