SEC Picks Top Boston Prosecutor To Lead Beantown Office

Law360, New York (September 12, 2013, 6:57 PM EDT) -- The chief financial crime prosecutor in the U.S. attorney’s office in Massachusetts, a former Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP attorney, has been named to lead the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Boston office, the SEC announced Thursday.

Paul Levenson will begin his new job at the SEC in October following a lengthy career as a prosecutor. He joined the U.S. attorney’s office in 1989 and has led the economic crimes unit since 2007. He previously worked as a litigation associate at Kaye Scholer LLP in Washington...
