Qualcomm, Nokia To Agree On Terms Of Battle

Law360, New York (February 15, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Though the battle over cell phone patents continues to rage, cellular heavyweights Nokia Corp. and Qualcomm Inc. have at least agreed to work out procedural issues in the multitude of cases they have brought against each other.

The two companies said on Thursday that they were working together to decide on the correct interpretation of common issues, including general standardization rules and how their 2001 technology licensing agreement could be read. The agreement could end up consolidating arbitration in the Delaware Chancery Court.
