LexisNexis Buys Health Care IT Firm Enclarity

Law360, New York (September 13, 2013, 6:18 PM ET) -- Data and analytics giant LexisNexis has bought health care information technology provider Enclarity Inc. to expand its fraud and clinical analytics offerings, Enclarity said Friday.

California-based Enclarity's software and systems help insurers and hospitals gather more information about doctors, which can help identify problem spots, and pick up on fraudulent or collusive activity among health care providers. All of these services can help providers prevent federal investigations into billing and referral practices, malpractice claims, collusion allegations and other legal pitfalls.
