Bill To Rein In Prop 65 Suits Tees Up Bigger Reform Push

Law360, San Diego (September 16, 2013, 11:13 PM ET) -- California lawmakers last week passed a bill aimed at curbing suits against companies accused of failing to comply with Proposition 65 requirements for posting warnings on potentially harmful chemicals, and lawyers say although the measure would affect only a limited group of businesses, it could drive broader efforts to reform Proposition 65 if it is signed into law.
