Asiana Flight Crash Victims Sue Boeing For Negligence

Law360, Chicago (September 18, 2013, 5:58 PM EDT) -- The Boeing Co. was hit with six lawsuits Tuesday by injured passengers claiming the July crash of an Asiana Airlines Inc. jet resulted from the aviation giant’s failure to install a low-airspeed warning system in some of its planes.

The negligence suits, all filed by the same two law firms in Illinois state court, allege the Chicago-based company was aware of several similar accidents but did not require the warning system on its 777 aircraft like the Asiana jet that crash-landed in San Francisco.
