Former Bon Secours CFO Admits To $117M Fraud

Law360, New York (December 9, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- A former executive of Maryland-based Bon Secours Health Systems has pled guilty to orchestrating the $117 million fraud that brought the company to its knees last year.

David G. Zilli, former chief financial officer of the healthcare company, pled guilty to one count of mail fraud in the case brought against him in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.

Sentencing guidelines suggest between one and two years in prison, although prosecutors have recommended that Zilli be put on two years probation.
