General Dynamics Awarded $188M For Saudi Tank Upgrades

Law360, New York (September 19, 2013, 4:53 PM EDT) -- A unit of defense contractor General Dynamics Corp. won a nearly $188 million contract from the U.S. Army to convert dozens of battle tanks to an upgraded configuration for use by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, General Dynamics said Thursday.

General Dynamics Land Systems, which provides wheeled and tracked military vehicles for countries including the U.S., obtained the contract from the U.S. Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command, which issued the contract on behalf of the Royal Saudi Land Forces, General Dynamics said in a statement....
