Baker Botts Partner Heads To FTC's Competition Bureau

Law360, Los Angeles (September 19, 2013, 5:56 PM EDT) -- Stephen Weissman, a partner in Baker Botts LLP's Washington office and part of the firm's antitrust and competition practice, has been named deputy director of the Federal Trade Commission's Bureau of Competition, the firm announced Thursday. 

Weissman, who came to Baker Botts in 2011 following the dissolution of his former firm Howrey LLP, will join the FTC on Oct. 7 as one of three deputies overseeing the Competition Bureau's work nationwide. He will replace Peter Levitas, who stepped down earlier this month and is slated to...
