House Advances Spending Bill With ACA Defunding Clause

Law360, Washington (September 19, 2013, 8:24 PM ET) -- House Republicans on Thursday moved ahead with a spending bill linking the continued funding of the government past the end of the month with defunding of the Affordable Care Act, despite a veto threat from the White House.

In a 230-192 vote almost exclusively along party lines, the House voted to approve the rules governing debate of the continuing resolution, or CR, H.J.
