Texas High Court Takes Challenge To $5M Defamation Award

Law360, Dallas (September 20, 2013, 5:22 PM EDT) -- The Texas Supreme Court on Friday agreed to hear a waste management company’s bid to upset a jury’s $5 million reputation damages award, in a case that asks whether for-profit corporations have the right to recover damages for noneconomic harm in defamation cases.
