Pa. Gov. Corbett Taps Acting Secretary To Helm DEP

Law360, Philadelphia (September 20, 2013, 3:38 PM EDT) -- Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett on Friday named acting Secretary Christopher Abruzzo to lead the state’s Department of Environmental Protection, an agency that has a key role in regulating natural gas drilling in the Keystone state.

Abruzzo, who formerly served as Corbett’s deputy chief of staff, has been acting secretary of the department since former head Michael Krancer stepped down in April to rejoin Blank Rome LLP as chair of the firm's energy, petrochemical and natural resources practice.
