UK Police Press Charges Against Anti-Fracking Lawmaker

Law360, New York (September 25, 2013, 5:42 PM ET) -- A British lawmaker who was arrested with more than two dozen anti-fracking protestors at a Cuadrilla Resources Ltd. drilling site was hit with formal charges from U.K. authorities on Wednesday accusing her of ignoring police instructions and blocking traffic.

Caroline Lucas, who serves in Parliament as a member of the Green Party, joined activists last month protesting test oil drilling site near the village of Balcombe, which is located 35 miles south of London. The Crown Prosecution Service said the evidence against Lucas merits further action....
