Kim Rothstein Gets 18 Months For Hiding $1M In Jewelry

Law360, Miami (November 12, 2013, 7:31 PM ET) -- Kim Rothstein, the wife of convicted Ponzi schemer Scott Rothstein, was sentenced Tuesday in Florida federal court to 18 months in prison for hiding more than $1 million in jewelry purchased with proceeds from the $1.2 billion scheme.

U.S. District Judge Robin Rosenbaum issued the sentence to Kim Rothstein and a three-month prison term to her friend and co-conspirator Stacie Weisman in back-to-back hearings Monday afternoon in her packed courtroom in Fort Lauderdale.
