Toshiba Can't Escape Suit Over Laptop Screen Cracks

Law360, Chicago (September 26, 2013, 3:13 PM ET) -- A California federal judge on Wednesday refused to dismiss a proposed class action against a Toshiba Corp. unit for allegedly failing to honor a warranty on crack-prone laptop screens, finding that the company’s offer to cover the plaintiff’s individual claim did not moot the case.
