Feds Charge Two Brothers Over Deadly Cantaloupe

Law360, Los Angeles (September 26, 2013, 8:39 PM ET) -- Federal prosecutors have filed charges against two brothers who owned and operated Jensen Farms for allegedly introducing adulterated cantaloupe bearing a poisonous bacterium into interstate commerce and causing the deadly 2011 listeria outbreak, a U.S. attorney said Thursday.

Eric Jensen, 37, and Ryan Jensen, 33, presented themselves to U.S. Marshals in Denver where they were taken into custody on the federal charges brought by the U.S. Attorney’s Office with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
