Attys Say Firm Poached Philly Building Collapse Client

Law360, New York (September 27, 2013, 3:44 PM ET) -- Two attorneys in Pennsylvania state court on Wednesday accused a rival attorney of slander and of poaching a client in a wrongful death lawsuit filed in the wake of a building collapse in downtown Philadelphia in June.

Plaintiffs Nixon T. Kannah and Daniel Conner accused Mark A. Verlin, of counsel to law firm Cohen Placitella & Roth PC, of intentionally interfering with their existing contractual relationship with the widow of a victim and of slandering them in front of the client.
