Fla. Panthers Sold To Group Led By NY Trading Firm Owner

Law360, Miami (September 27, 2013, 7:05 PM ET) -- A group led by the New York-based founder of a high-frequency trading and market-making firm has bought the National Hockey League team the Florida Panthers, the team announced Friday.

Vincent Viola, CEO of Virtu Financial LLC, will take over as chairman, principal owner and governor of Sunshine Sports & Entertainment, the Florida Panthers and the BB&T Center, which is owned by Broward County but operated by the team, the team said in statement.
