SEC Prosecutor Of 'Fabulous Fab' Case To Step Down

Law360, New York (September 27, 2013, 7:30 PM ET) -- The lead prosecutor who took down former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. trader Fabrice Touree for misleading investors in a “built-to-fail” financial project is leaving the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission next month, the agency said Friday.

Matthew T. Martens, who has been chief litigation counsel for the SEC’s Division of Enforcement since August 2010, gained acclaim in recent months for his successful securities fraud prosecution of the ex-Goldman trader known as “Fabulous Fab.”
