House Antitrust Subcommittee Chair To Retire In 2014

Law360, New York (October 2, 2013, 4:22 PM EDT) -- Rep. Spencer Bachus, R-Ala., will not seek re-election in 2014 after more than two decades in Congress, making way for a new chair of the House subcommittee that focuses on antitrust issues.

The 11-term congressman on Monday described the move as a "family decision" and vowed to spend his remaining time in office working on reducing federal spending.
