Ill. Court Revives Quarles & Brady Malpractice Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (October 1, 2013, 8:29 PM ET) -- An Illinois appeals court on Monday revived a malpractice suit accusing Quarles & Brady LLP of negligently representing a car dealership owner in another action over a former business partner's stock sales, ruling the allegations went beyond mere errors of judgment by the firm.

Reversing a lower court decision, the appellate judges decided Kenneth A. Nelson's complaint contained sufficient allegations to state a cause of action for poor legal representation by Quarles & Brady.
