SC Hospital Must Pay $276M In Medicare Fraud Suit

Law360, New York (October 1, 2013, 8:17 PM ET) -- Tuomey Healthcare System Inc. was hit with more than $276 million in damages and fines by a South Carolina federal court Monday in the wake of a May jury finding that the Sumter-based hospital system defrauded Medicare of $39 million by submitting false claims.
