'Patent Troll' Drops Suit After Judge Calls Case A 'Sham'

Law360, New York (October 2, 2013, 7:43 PM EDT) -- Soon after a judge blasted it as a "patent troll" that engaged in litigation misconduct and used a "sham" to manufacture venue, a nonpracticing entity called Network Protection Sciences LLC on Friday agreed to drop its patent suit against network security company Fortinet Inc.
