Stan Lee Media Appeals Loss Of Superheroes IP Suit

Law360, New York (October 3, 2013, 3:51 PM ET) -- Stan Lee Media Inc. on Wednesday asked the Tenth Circuit to revive its infringement suit against The Walt Disney Co. over the copyrights to major Marvel comic book superheroes such as Spider-Man.

SLMI appealed a Colorado federal court ruling in which U.S. District Judge William Martinez granted Disney’s motion to dismiss after finding that SLMI did not own the rights to Lee's famed characters.
