Rio Tinto Group Passes Aussie Coal Mine To Linc Energy

Law360, New York (October 3, 2013, 4:11 PM EDT) -- Mining giant Rio Tinto Group PLC and its investment partners in Australia's defunct Blair Athol coal mine have agreed to sell the mine to local midsized miner Linc Energy, which hopes to produce up to 3 million tons of thermal coal per year, Linc announced Thursday.
