BlackRock Latest Buyer In Canadian Solar Project Sell-Off

Law360, New York (October 03, 2013, 1:50 PM ET) -- Canadian Solar Inc. is continuing its solar-plant selling spree, announcing Thursday that it's sold two Ontario plants to BlackRock Inc. for an undisclosed price, one day after TransCanada Corp. said it had bought two plants from the solar power project developer.

Canadian Solar subsidiary Canadian Solar Solutions Inc. said New York-based BlackRock picked up its utility-scale solar plants in Demorestville and Odessa, Ontario, capable of producing a combined 20 megawatts of electricity, enough to power over 3,300 homes.
