Catterton Sells Convenience Store Chain To Sunoco

Law360, New York (October 3, 2013, 6:05 PM EDT) -- Catterton Partners sold convenience store chain Mid-Atlantic Convenience Stores LLC to a Sunoco Inc. affiliate, the private equity firm announced Thursday, in the wake of its new $2.1 billion fund closings.

The terms of the deal between Catterton and Sunoco Inc.'s affiliate Sunoco were not disclosed.

The Connecticut-based firm, which actively manages more than $4 billion of equity capital, first invested in MACS in 2010, and since then, the convenience store chain has reportedly seen a sales growth of 46 percent, excluding fuel. Catterson attributes the...
