ACA, DOMA Repeal Will Bump 2014 Labor Spending, GCs Say

Law360, New York (October 07, 2013, 7:53 PM ET) -- Corporate legal teams’ outlays for outside employment and labor services will continue to tick up modestly in 2014, fed by demand for regulatory compliance work that has eased fears of a lean period for employment attorneys, according to a new report on corporate legal spending.

Spending on outside employment attorneys should grow by 1.8 percent over 2013 levels up to a projected $5.74 billion, continuing a persistent but slow recovery since the market bottomed out at $4.42 million in the doldrums of 2009, according to the BTI...
