Adelson's Libel Suit Against Dallas Atty Dumped

Law360, Dallas (October 04, 2013, 7:19 PM ET) -- A New York federal judge on Monday dismissed a libel suit filed by billionaire Sheldon Adelson, the CEO of Las Vegas Sands Corp., against a Dallas attorney accused of maligning the hotelier in an online post that suggested Adelson had allowed prostitution at his properties in Macau.

U.S. District Judge J. Paul Oetken threw out the suit under Nevada’s anti-strategic lawsuits against public participation law and found Adelson had failed to state a claim for libel against the National Jewish Democratic Council and its chair, Dallas...
