Justices Pass On Toyota's Brake Defect Arbitration Appeal

Law360, New York (October 07, 2013, 3:32 PM ET) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday left in place a ruling that held arbitration off-limits to Toyota Motor Corp. in a putative class action over alleged defects in hybrid vehicles, despite the automaker’s claim that the Ninth Circuit had opened up an “end run” around the high court’s Concepcion ruling.
