9th Circ. Says Court Lacks Jurisdiction In Guantanamo Row

Law360, Los Angeles (October 7, 2013, 4:11 PM EDT) -- The Ninth Circuit on Monday vacated a district court’s dismissal of a former Guantanamo Bay prisoner’s lawsuit seeking damages from former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates and other military and civilian officials, holding the lower court lacked subject matter jurisdiction for the claims.
