ST's Bid For Injunction V. Tessera Fails, Again

Law360, New York (February 21, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Two semiconductor developers have lost their second bid for a preliminary injunction against Tessera Inc., which is suing them for patent infringement related to flash memory products.

A federal judge found Thursday that there were no new facts to warrant the request to prevent Tessera from continuing to participate in the ongoing International Trade Commission proceedings against the semiconductor companies.

The companies, STMicroelectronics Inc. and STMicroelectronics N.V., are defendants in Tessera's lawsuit over four patents. The defendants' second motion cited only one recent development, which was...
