Lime Rock Rakes In $750M For US Oil And Gas Buys

Law360, New York (October 8, 2013, 5:16 PM EDT) -- Private equity firm Lime Rock Partners has maxed out its Lime Rock Resources III LP fund at $750 million and will start investing it in domestic oil and gas production, the company announced Tuesday.

The fund outgrew its estimated target and reached its hard cap, according to Lime Rock, which didn't immediately disclose the original target amount. Lime Rock currently invests in hydrocarbon production in the mid-continental United States, Texas Gulf Coast and Permian Basin, which spans Texas and New Mexico.
