Ex-Chesapeake Head Raises $1.7B For Utica Shale Venture

Law360, New York (October 09, 2013, 2:07 PM ET) -- American Energy Partners LP, the upstart launched by ousted Chesapeake Energy Corp. co-founder and former CEO Aubrey McClendon, has raked in roughly $1.7 billion in private equity commitments and new debt to back exploration initiatives focused on eastern Ohio’s resource-rich Utica Shale formation.
