Airbnb Fights NY Subpoena For Rental Host Info

Law360, New York (October 10, 2013, 1:28 PM ET) -- Room-sharing company Airbnb Inc. on Wednesday pushed back against a subpoena for host information from New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman in state court, arguing that the burden of sifting through the mountain of requested information is too heavy.

The company, which has come under close scrutiny from state authorities in the years since the passage of a multiple dwellings law that prohibits short-stay rentals, also argues that the attorney general has failed to show that it believes any Airbnb host has actually violated any law....
