Inside Calif.'s New Online Privacy Law For Minors

Law360, New York (October 11, 2013, 2:10 PM ET) -- On Sept. 23, 2013, California Governor Jerry Brown signed into law S.B. 568, an unprecedented children’s online privacy bill establishing a new law entitled “Privacy Rights for California Minors in the Digital World.” The purpose of the new law is to protect the online privacy of children and teenagers who are under 18 years of age and reside in the state of California.
