Miami Didn't Follow Bidding Process For Waterfront Deal: Suit

Law360, Miami (October 11, 2013, 7:16 PM ET) -- A Miami resident who served on a selection committee tasked with finding a developer for a piece of waterfront land in Coconut Grove sued Miami and its commissioners Wednesday, claiming they violated the city charter by failing to consider the fair market value before choosing a bidder.

Stephen J. Kneapler says that the city never assessed the property's potential fair market value return under the bidders' proposed leases for the six-acre waterfront property.
