Ex-Fed. Circ. Chief Michel Joins Board Of IP Exchange

Law360, New York (October 16, 2013, 6:25 PM EDT) -- Intellectual Property Exchange International Inc., a financial exchange for licensing and trading IP rights, announced Tuesday that former Federal Circuit Chief Judge Paul Michel has joined its board.

The exchange, launched in 2008, is designed as a way for companies to offer and take patent licenses without going through the time and expense of infringement litigation, which often ends with a settlement and license agreement.

Judge Michel, who retired from the Federal Circuit in 2010, will be an independent member of the exchange's board of managers....
