Errol Morris Wins Appeal Over Film Subject's Defamation Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (October 15, 2013, 10:05 PM ET) -- A California appeals court on Tuesday affirmed a lower court ruling granting documentarian Errol Morris' motion to strike defamation claims by the subject of his film about a 1970s British tabloid scandal, saying the film's content is protected by the First Amendment and that the plaintiff failed to prove actual malice.
