EU Tells Cos. How To Use Cookies Without Riling Regulator

Law360, New York (October 16, 2013, 8:17 PM ET) -- The European Union's data protection regulators on Monday offered multinational companies guidance on how to obtain valid consent before placing cookies on users' devices, warning that a lack of visible notice and a failure to give consumers a meaningful choice could land companies in hot water.
