Ricoh Exits Printer Monitoring Patent Suit

Law360, New York (October 16, 2013, 8:59 PM ET) -- Ricoh USA Inc. has reached a settlement with a patent holding company to resolve allegations that the printer maker infringed a patent for technology used to remotely monitor office machines, a Texas federal judge said Tuesday.

The deal makes Ricoh the sixth electronics manufacturer to strike an agreement with Penovia LLC to shake similar claims.
