By Karlee Weinmann ( October 17, 2013, 4:01 PM EDT) -- Chinese smartphone maker Lenovo Group Ltd. is weighing a buyout bid for sputtering rival BlackBerry Ltd., sources told The Wall Street Journal on Thursday. The companies have entered into a nondisclosure agreement that gives Lenovo access to BlackBerry's books. A Lenovo play could thwart a preliminary $4.7 billion takeover offer thrown on the table last month by Fairfax Financial Holdings Ltd., one of BlackBerry's biggest shareholders. Other suitors have been circling the Canadian company, including co-founder Mike Lazaridis and Cerberus Capital Management LP, since it officially put itself on the market in August....
