API Vows To Sue If EPA Misses Renewable Fuel Rule Deadline

Law360, New York (October 18, 2013, 2:34 PM EDT) -- The American Petroleum Institute on Thursday threatened to sue the U.S. Environmental Protection agency if it fails to meet a Nov. 30 deadline to set 2014 standards for renewable fuels, continuing its fight against the agency’s renewable fuel program.

The oil and gas industry group send EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy its notice of intent to sue, saying it expects the agency to miss the November deadline for standards dictating the amount of biomass-based diesel and other renewable fuels that must be in the U.S. fuel supply...
